Community Outreach to Diversity Organizations

For more than three decades, Action for a Better Community (ABC) has been a leader in encouraging, supporting, and developing self-sufficiency among low-income families in Monroe County. Our efforts have been extended to include Ontario County as well. Since its beginning, ABC has aided thousands of individuals and families to move from public assistance and/or the ranks of the working poor to a gainfully employed, tax-paying status.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark exists to advance a mission of justice and compassionate care. We seek to provide the necessities of life to the homeless, the blessings of liberty to immigrants, and the restoration of right relationships within families and within society. We seek to provide a life with meaning to the disabled, isolated, and lonely; a safety net to those in crisis; the hope of economic participation to the marginalized and unemployed; and opportunities for the growth and development of children and youth.

Marine For Life’s ultimate purpose is to maintain a mutually beneficial, lifelong relationship between the Marine Corps and Marines who leave the Corps. Begun in 1969, PathStone is a private, not-for-profit regional community development and human service organization providing services to farmworkers, low-income families and economically depressed communities throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, Vermont and Puerto Rico. PathStone has successfully operated a wide array of programs funded by federal, state, local, faith-based and private sources.
