Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Oversee spare parts process from order, thru receiving and inbounding, put-a-way to distribution and finally replacement
  • Prepare spare parts quotations; send out RFQ's to Assigned Spare Part Coordinator, archive supplier quotations, and consolidate supplier quotations.
  • Start and implement initiatives to increase spare parts sales with customer.
  • Manage, develop, and grow customer relationships.
  • Process and manage spare parts packages from ordering through delivery.
  • Monitor shipping and custom clearance.
  • Coordinate and track delivery to customers and ensure acceptance of delivery by customer.
  • Manage transportation costs on inbound and outbound orders.
  • Order spare parts packages for Projects and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Monitor current trends in supplier performance on cost and lead-times.
  • In cooperation with accounting, follow up on outstanding invoice payments for spare parts.
  • Review orders and ensure monthly close out for invoicing.
  • Set up new customers and suppliers.
  • Take initiative to improve processes and implement.
  • Review orders and ensure monthly close out for invoicing.

* Conduct monthly inventory cycle counts

* Monitor and set parts min/max levels and ensure that orders are placed on a weekly/monthly bases to maintain levels

  • Control parts disbursement process to techs, in order to maintain inventory accuracy

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Experience in support of engineering/construction or service projects
  • Experience handling multiple tasks in a high-energy office.
  • Valid Drivers License

Other Requirements:

Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport ID Badge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
  • Experience with JD Edwards.
  • Parts knowledge of conveyor systems

  • General technical knowledge of conveyor systems.

  • Ability to solve problems which disturb the daily operation.

  • Self-reliant in a variety of less interrelated technical tasks

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, working 8-5pm Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work is possible.

Travel:

This position requires no travel.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The job can be stressful because logistical work is fast-paced. Although Spare Parts Coordinators prepare reports in an office, they also spend time in the airport floor, where they sometimes handle packages or automatic equipment such as conveyor systems. They move items, a job that can involve frequent bending and lifting.
